Kia UK has been named ‘EV Brand of the Year’ and the Kia PV5 Cargo ‘EV Van of the Year’ at the Electrifying.com EV Awards 2026.
The Electrifying.com EV Awards are judged by the website’s expert team of road testers, with awards given to the most significant electric vehicles and innovations from the last 12 months. The Kia PV5 Cargo follows in the footsteps of its smaller passenger car sibling, the EV3, which was crowned ‘Car of the Year’ at last year’s awards.
The PV5 Cargo simplifies the buying process with two trim levels: entry-level ‘Essential’ and range-topping ‘Plus’, with a choice of a standard-range 51.5kWh or long-range 71.2kWh battery pack. The Electrifying.com team praised its design, versatility, and affordability, with a low starting price of £27,645 (+VAT).
Ginny Buckley, editor-in-chief at Electrifying.com, said: “The Kia PV5 Cargo feels like a proper turning point for electric vans. The brand’s EV know-how from the car world has clearly carried over – this is a van that’s great to drive, smartly designed and built to a high standard. We love the modular platform and dedicated factory approach, which cuts out the waste and compromise that so often comes with traditional van conversions.”
