Wrapped in Travelodge branding and fitted with bespoke storage racking inside, the vehicles will play a key role in Travelodge maintenance and operations across the country.
The project is the result of a collaborative effort between Nissan GB, Travelodge, Brayleys and TR Fleet, as well as the conversion partners involved in the vehicle fit-out and livery design and installation.
Combined with Nissan’s five-year warranty, Nissan Assistance breakdown cover, a Customer Promise and a large dealer network to support vehicle uptime, the value proposition was enough to persuade Travelodge to transition its fleet to Nissan LCVs. Nissan is also supporting Travelodge with a number of passenger cars for its employees, which, like the vans, will be managed by TR Fleet.
Mark Timmins, head of maintenance delivery, Travelodge, said: “We’ve welcomed Nissan’s expertise as our new fleet partner. Following a review, we’re replacing over 200 vans and have introduced the smaller Nissan Townstar, which is better suited to our operational needs. The new vans are more efficient, improve productivity and offer improved driver safety. We’ve worked closely with both Nissan and TR Fleet throughout the renewal process and have valued their support on negotiating and finding the right solutions for our business.”
