The new Mitsubishi L200 pick-up is being launched in the UK and will be priced from £36,295. It marks the revival of the Japanese brand, which decided to exit the UK market in 2020.

The L200 will be the first model to appear as part of Mitsubishi’s relaunch and will be followed by a new Outlander SUV.

Offered as a double cab pick-up, the seventh-generation L200 will be available in four-seat passenger and a two-seat commercial variants. Designed for farmers, trades people and construction professionals, Mitsubishi says the L200 Commercial delivers rugged capability with a full commercial specification.

Re-engineered as a dedicated two-seater, it features a permanent cabin conversion that replaces the rear passenger area with a secure, hidden load compartment. The transformation ensures full compliance with UK commercial vehicle legislation, meaning operators benefit from 100% plant and machinery allowance and a flat benefit-in-kind (BIK) rate of £4,020.

There are two trim levels: Titan and Barbarian. Both come with a 2.4-litre bi-turbo diesel engine, delivering increases in power and torque over the previous model, with a six-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive system as standard. The Barbarian gets Mitsubishi’s Super Select 4WD-II system, allowing the driver to choose the right drive mode for the terrain and includes the ability to select four-wheel drive, even on the grippiest of surfaces.

Both the Titan and Barbarian are available in Commercial form and are priced at £37,495 and £41,195 (CV OTR), respectively. Prices for the passenger model start at £36,295, rising to £39,995.

First deliveries are expected in May.
