Harris Group and global truck powerhouse, SINOTRUK, have agreed a landmark, long-term distribution partnership that will initially see 7.5-tonne SITRAK models launched across the UK and Ireland from March 2027.
The agreement gives Harris Group exclusive rights to import and distribute SINOTRUK vehicles, bringing the scale and expertise of one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers to operators across the UK and Ireland. The agreement also marks Harris Group’s entry into the heavy truck sector, creating the Harris SINOTRUK company, and representing a major milestone in its strategy to become a €1 billion annual revenue business by 2030.

Fully-electric and Euro-6 SITRAK-branded 7.5-tonne GVW models hit the road in the UK and Ireland next March
Customer deliveries will begin in March 2027 with new Euro-6 and fully-electric SITRAK 7.5-tonne models, followed by a phased introduction of 4x2 middleweight distribution models, an 8x4 rigid and a 4x2 tractor unit. The SINOTRUK range will include both Euro-6 and fully electric powertrains, offering operators a comprehensive choice across multiple applications, weight categories and duty cycles.
A nationwide Harris SINOTRUK dealer and aftersales network is being established ahead of launch, with Harris Group investing in the infrastructure, technical expertise, training and parts supply needed to support customers across the UK and Ireland. The Harris SINOTRUK dealer network will be fundamental to the long-term success of the new brand, ensuring operators receive comprehensive support from the outset.

The agreement with SINOTRUK will see a full range of premium duty trucks for the UK and Ireland, including distribution, multi-axle and tractor unit models
The agreement also establishes a clear brand architecture across Harris Group’s commercial vehicle business. MAXUS will remain focused on the light commercial vehicle sector, primarily with its DELIVER panel van range, while SINOTRUK becomes the Group's dedicated premium truck brand. As part of this transition, the MAXUS eDELIVER 75 will be withdrawn from the UK market, creating a clearer portfolio structure; SINOTRUK providing Harris Group’s truck offering across multiple weight categories, axle configurations and powertrain options.
Brian Patterson, Chief Executive Officer at Harris Group, added, “This is a significant milestone for Harris Group and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our business in the UK and Ireland. Harris Group has a long history in commercial vehicles, and our partnership with SINOTRUK gives us the opportunity to build on that heritage with one of the world’s largest and most successful truck manufacturers.

“This partnership is also an important part of our strategy to build Harris Group into a €1 billion annual revenue business by 2030." Brian Patterson, CEO
“Our ambition goes well beyond launching another truck brand. We are building a long-term truck business with a nationwide dealer network, strong parts availability, technical expertise and comprehensive aftersales support from the outset.
“SINOTRUK brings enormous manufacturing scale, engineering capability and global experience. Combined with Harris Group’s knowledge of the UK and Ireland commercial vehicle markets, we believe it has the potential to become a significant long-term player in both markets.
“This partnership is also an important part of our strategy to build Harris Group into a €1 billion annual revenue business by 2030. We are investing for growth and creating a broader commercial vehicle group capable of serving customers from light commercial vehicles through to heavy trucks.”
Bill Laidlaw, Chief Operating Officer at Harris Group, said, “We’ve built a strong reputation representing commercial vehicle brands, and SINOTRUK gives us the opportunity to establish a heavy truck range for operators in the UK and Ireland. Rather than over-extending the MAXUS brand into heavier commercial vehicles,” he said, “we’ve taken the strategic decision to introduce a dedicated truck marque capable of supporting operators across key weight categories and applications; creating much greater clarity for customers and providing a platform for long-term growth."
