DAF Trucks is expanding its programme of fully electric trucks to include a wide range of 6x2, 6x4 and 8x4 tractor and rigid models for specific applications and the construction industry.

This means that DAF can offer a tailor-made electric solution for every application. The new chassis models are available for both the XD and XF Electric – ‘International Truck of the Year 2026’ – and the new XG and XG+ Electric, which feature the most spacious cabs on the market.

Both the FTG and FTN models of the DAF XD, XF, XG and XG+ Electric are equipped with the PACCAR EX-D2 engine, with outputs ranging from 270kW (370hp) to 350kW (480hp). The FTG with pusher axle comes with three battery packs as standard, while the FTN with trailing axle offers the choice of three, four and even five packs for zero-emission ranges of over 500 kilometres on a single battery charge.

The fact that the DAF XD, XF, XG and XG+ Electric are able to accommodate GCWs of up to 50 tonnes, means that electric EcoCombi versions are also possible.

“The DAF XD, XF, XG and XG+ Electric with the new axle configurations also feature the same distinctive DNA as the current series of New Generation DAF trucks”, said Jeroen van den Oetelaar, member of the board of management and director of product development. “As a result, they are also setting the standard in their segment with regard to safety, comfort and ease of use. Thanks to the very wide range of models, cabs, engines and chassis, DAF is able to offer tailor-made solutions for every transport application, including electric.”
