The eDaily 7.2-tonne Powerloader is described as one of the most capable electrified recovery vehicles in service. It’s able to recover stranded vehicles weighing up to 3,000kg; a key requirement as modern cars become increasingly heavy. The Powerloader body features a remote loading system with deployable ramps, boosting safety when loading stranded cars.

The 4.25-tonne eDaily CRT crew van is designed to recover a vehicle and host six occupants and the driver. Based on an eDaily crew van, it’s equipped with AA-embroidered leather seats and a custom table complete with drinks holders and USB chargers for smart devices.

A roller shutter installed by Victory Conversions at the rear of the vehicle stores the heavy-duty TowPro CRT unit when not in use. Once deployed, this EV can recover anything from motorbikes to 4x4s thanks to a towing capacity of 3,250kg when paired with the AA’s freewheeling hubs.

Both EVs feature two battery modules each – the eDaily’s modular battery system enables fleets to equip vehicles with one, two or three 37kWh units to balance range with payload and journey patterns. The eDaily vehicles can also rapid charge at 80kW, adding up to 62 miles of range in less than 30 minutes.

Max Lamon, winner of the AA’s Recovery Patrol of the Year 2024, said:

The AA’s strapline of ‘Always Ahead’ is perfectly embodied in our new Iveco eDaily recovery vehicles. To be able to go electric highlights that forward-thinking ethos while ensuring we deliver the high standards our members expect. These EVs are returning impressive real-world range, excellent comfort and responsive performance. I really enjoy driving them.
