Since wrapping its first Johnsons vehicle in 2017, RGVA’s team has applied the company’s livery to everything from 3.5-tonne MAN panel vans to 7.5 and 26-tonne DAF rigids. The latest application, consisting of 53 DAF, Mercedes-Benz and Isuzu 7.5-tonne trucks, featured specialist 3M ij280 vinyl wrapping for graphics on the cabs, while the flat surfaces of the truck box bodies were wrapped in Arlon 4550gtx.

Phil Martin, Shaftsbury transport manager for Johnsons, said: “We continue to be impressed with the efficiency of the team and the customer support offered by RGVA. The quality of the work is always excellent and we’ve had no issues with wraps peeling like we had to deal with when using a previous supplier.

“I’ve taken the time to watch the team wrap a few of our vehicles and it’s a fascinating process.”

Working closely with RGVA, Johnsons provides vehicle details and approves all artwork while the new vehicles are in build. The RGVA team will then try to either travel to the bodybuilders to apply the wraps in situ, ensuring they are ready to hit the road straight away, or add the liveries at its Maidstone base. Turnaround times for the entire process average around two weeks from ordering to fitting.
