The electric version of the Renault Trafic medium-sized van is now ready for buyers to reserve. The new E-Tech costs from £34,500 (ex VAT), when including the Government's plug-in van grant.
Customers can pre-order now, with official ordering opening in June and first customer deliveries expected to begin in September. The vehicle will also be available from Renault Trucks. Renault offers the Trafic E-Tech in three configurations (L1H1, L2H1, L2H2), with load volumes ranging from 5.8 to 8.9 cubic metres. The L2 version has a load length of up to 4.15m and the H2 version is high enough to stand upright in the load area.
The vehicle is powered by a new 120hp electric motor and has a towing capacity of 920Kg. It has a 52kWh battery pack, giving a WLTP range of 186 miles. Rapid DC charging (up to 50kW) can fully recharge the battery from flat in one hour, while 22kW AC fast charging provides a 31-mile top-up in less than 25 minutes.
All versions will come in Advance specification. This includes an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone integration, LED headlights with C-shaped DRLs, heated and electrically-adjustable door mirrors, rear parking sensors, cruise control with speed limiter, intelligent speed assist, active emergency braking system, tyre pressure warning, lane departure warning, driver attention alert and drowsiness warning.
Unique to Renault Trucks, the E-Tech Trafic will be available in a platform cab with a wide variety of body designs.
