The award’s namesake, the late Barbara Cox, was a business pioneer and the owner and director of Cox Enterprises, Cox Automotive’s parent company. Those recognised by the award are selected due to their shared traits with Barbara – tenacity and commitment to advocating for and advancing the industry.
Nominations are open until 16 May for any women working within the European automotive industry. Judges are looking for entries that demonstrate the nominee’s impact in terms of innovation, people and the wider community.
Last year’s winner, Jacqui Barker, strategy director at Keyloop, (pictured centre) was selected in recognition of her unwavering dedication to continuous learning and innovation, described as a ‘beacon of inspiration for all those around her’ by her colleagues and partners.
The winner will be chosen by a judging panel including past winners and announced at a special event on Tuesday 24 June. In addition to gaining recognition across the industry, the recipient will also receive £5,000 to spend on her personal development.
