Gecko launches MagicWay electric van
The Chinese manufacturer says that, thanks to its digital chassis, it is able to maximise both cargo and cockpit space. The digital chassis integrates the battery, electric system, braking, steering, and thermal management into a unified design.
It is available in four different body sizes, ranging from 7.1 to 11.1 cubic metres, while delivering a load capacity of up to 1,787kg.Its 270-degree tailgate and low cargo platform height of 495mm also aims to enhance efficiency in loading and unloading.
Furthermore, the chassis's decoupling design, says Gecko, reduces development time and costs, enabling rapid, cost-effective customisation.
Jeff Liu, founder and chairman of Gecko Motors, said: “Expanding into the European market is a pivotal achievement for Gecko Motors, underscoring our dedication to innovation and sustainability with the introduction of the MagicWay electric van.Europe leads the global transition toward smarter transportation, and we are thrilled to play a key role in this evolution with our advanced digital chassis technology.”
MagicWay is available in a range of different guises, including panel van and chassis cab.
