Vaculug is Transaid’s latest corporate partner
The three-year agreement builds upon Vaculug’s sponsorship of Transaid ambassador Guy Heywood’s many fundraising initiatives in recent years, as well as the donation of funds for Transaid’s access to healthcare programmes in Zambia.
In February, Heywood and Haarjeev Kandhari, chairman of Vaculug, attended the King’s Humanitarian Reception in recognition of their commitment to Transaid. The event was held at Buckingham Palace, hosted by His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen, as well as Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal, patron of Transaid.
Kandhari, said: “I’m so grateful to Guy for the introduction to such an incredible organisation. I am confident that our values are well aligned as organisations and I look forward to the many opportunities there will be for the Vaculug team to get more involved in Transaid’s life-saving projects in sub-Saharan Africa.”
Caroline Barber, chief executive of Transaid, added: “The support we receive from our corporate partners is one of the key ingredients in what allows our programmes to be so successful. We’re excited for this opportunity to work more closely with the team at Vaculug; they bring a wealth of industry expertise and we are excited for what we can achieve together.”
