Webfleet, Bridgestone’s fleet management solution, has announced a new integration with RIO, a MAN sister company. This marks the first truck and bus integration through Webfleet’s OEM.connect programme, expanding its capabilities to heavy-duty vehicles and reinforcing its commitment to seamless, hardware-free fleet connectivity.

Through the collaboration, MAN vehicles equipped with factory-fitted telematics can now connect directly to the Webfleet platform via RIO.

The integration requires no additional hardware, installation or downtime, giving fleet operators instant access to real-time vehicle insights to help optimise performance across their truck and bus fleets.

“This is a major milestone for Webfleet’s OEM.connect strategy,” said Jan-Maarten de Vries, president of fleet management solutions at Bridgestone. “By integrating with RIO, we’re extending the benefits of our platform to heavy-duty vehicles, offering seamless, hardware-free connectivity that accelerates digital transformation for commercial transport.”

With this integration, operators gain access to a comprehensive suite of features, including real-time tracking, ignition status monitoring, odometer readings, fuel level and consumption data, and speed information to support safer and more efficient driving. These capabilities feed directly into Webfleet’s platform, enabling smarter trip management, enhanced driver coaching and improved fuel economy – all without retrofitting or downtime.

The integration underscores Webfleet’s commitment to growing its OEM.connect ecosystem, which now includes more than 20 leading vehicle brands. By working closely with manufacturers, Webfleet helps customers connect faster, reduce operational costs and unlock richer data insights across mixed-brand fleets.

From September 2025, European fleets can easily activate their MAN vehicles. With a straightforward OEM.connect process, operators just add their RIO-connected MAN fleet to Webfleet, no extra steps required.
