The Ford E-Transit Courier compact van is getting a larger battery. It means official WLTP combined range is now up to 207 miles.
The van now swaps the previous 43kWh battery for a larger 46kWh pack. The 400W system turns the vehicle into a mobile generator, so users can power tools and equipment through the 230V AC socket in the dashboard, while the in-cab touchscreen shows remaining energy.
If a quick top-up is needed, users can add around 70 miles of range in 10 minutes using a 100kW DC rapid charger. For longer charges away from home or the depot, the same charger can take the van from 10-80% in under half an hour.
Every E-Transit Courier now comes with a faster 5G modem for enhanced connectivity on the move.
Ford has also upgraded the Driver Alert System to enable it to detect instances of impaired driving such as drowsiness, distraction, sudden illnesses or impaired driving.
