The Isuzu D-Max has scooped its 14th consecutive award from Trade Van Driver magazine, which recognised the indomitable pick-up for its payload in excess of one tonne, 3.5-tonne towing capacity, rugged good looks as well as its tax-efficient commercial vehicle status.
The Isuzu D-Max has collected the ‘Best Pick-up’ accolade every year since the awards’ inception, endorsing the D-Max’s workhorse capabilities across commercial, utility and rural environments.
Managing director at Isuzu UK, Alan Able said: “We’re delighted the Isuzu D-Max maintains its position at the pinnacle of pick-up models. There’s never been a more exciting future for D-Max than now. With a new 2.2-litre diesel engine as well as an all-new fully electric vehicle, both D-Max models deliver the requisite payload and towing capabilities that put the Isuzu pick-up at the top of its game, appealing to independent professionals as well as larger fleets.”
Matthew Eisenegger, editor for Commercial Vehicle Media and Publishing, said on behalf of the judges:
“ Once again the mighty Isuzu D-Max scoops this prize, as it has done every year since the Trade Van Driver Awards started 14 years ago. We’ve watched as Isuzu has grown from being a small player in the sector to a tour de force that has challenged the biggest manufacturers. The newest D-Max model has been designed the beat the UK’s new taxation laws and Isuzu will be among the first to put an electric pick-up on sale. A worthy winner indeed in the judges’ eyes.”
