Six Carrier Transicold Supra High Efficiency (HE) 8 units are now powering fish and chip shop supplier Henry Colbeck, supporting the company’s ongoing transition to a Carrier Transicold exclusive fleet.
The Supra HE was selected for its powerful refrigeration capacity and lower fuel consumption, which helps ensure maximum operational efficiency.
The new Supra HE 8 systems are fitted to 18-tonne MAN TGM trucks mounted with custom Gray & Adams bodies that feature separate access points for individual storage sections. Joining a 29-strong commercial fleet, their arrival marks the latest step in Henry Colbeck’s plan to transition all temperature-controlled vehicles operating out of its Gateshead headquarters exclusively to Carrier Transicold technology.
“We’ve started moving towards Carrier Transicold because its products offer the performance, reliability and service support we need,” said Hugh O’Brien, operations director at Henry Colbeck. “The Supra series has been a great addition to our business over the years, helping us reduce fuel consumption while performing exceptionally well under pressure year-round. We’re confident that will continue as we introduce the new Supra HE technology.”
The Supra HE features a new semi-electric architecture that makes the unit quieter, lighter and more compact, helping maximise operational efficiency and uptime. The streamlined design allows the units to be seamlessly incorporated into a variety of vehicle body types while maintaining cab tilting capability for easy maintenance and accessibility.
